Project Overview

Mount Lambie Wind Farm is a wind and storage renewable energy project proposed near Wallerawang in the Central Ranges of New South Wales.

Consisting of up to 200 megawatts (MW) of wind generation capacity and 100MW battery energy storage (BESS) on-site, the Mount Lambie Wind Farm would connect into the existing transmission network, supplying clean energy to the National Electricity Market.

The project would contribute to the NSW Government’s target to halve emissions by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050 - generating enough clean electricity to power about 115,000 Australian homes per year.

We’ve identified this location for its wind resource and proximity to the major retiring coal fired power station, Mt Piper and the former Wallerawang power station.
